This is a highly impactful engineering leadership opportunity for an experienced platform specialist passionate about building scalable, secure, and developer-friendly infrastructure. In this role, you will shape the technical foundation that supports a large portfolio of distributed services and engineering teams, driving reliability, efficiency, and operational excellence at scale. Working across infrastructure, security, and developer experience initiatives, you will design and evolve critical platform capabilities while remaining deeply hands-on with engineering work. The position offers the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, champion modern automation practices, and integrate emerging technologies, including AI-powered tooling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment where innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of the internal developer platform, including Kubernetes environments, observability systems, secrets management, delivery pipelines, and shared infrastructure services.
  • Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure components, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational resilience.
  • Develop production-grade platform tooling, services, APIs, operators, and automation solutions using Go and/or Python.
  • Build and maintain self-service infrastructure capabilities such as reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts, CI/CD templates, and platform APIs to improve developer productivity.
  • Drive the scalability and modernization of cloud and bare-metal infrastructure environments while continuously enhancing monitoring, logging, and deployment systems.
  • Own infrastructure security initiatives, including identity management, access controls, secrets management, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure controls that support audit readiness and industry-standard security frameworks.
  • Strengthen container, software supply chain, and platform security through vulnerability management, artifact verification, security scanning, and zero-trust principles.
  • Promote the adoption of AI-driven tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity, automation, incident response, documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Define technical standards, reduce technical debt, mentor engineers, conduct architectural reviews, and contribute to the long-term infrastructure strategy.
  • Partner with engineering, security, data, and operations teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable platform solutions.
  • Participate in incident response activities and lead post-incident improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in senior, staff, principal, or technical leadership roles with responsibility for system architecture and engineering direction.
  • Strong software engineering expertise with Go and/or Python, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of production-grade services and tools.
  • Proven experience architecting and operating large-scale distributed systems with a strong understanding of scalability, resilience, capacity planning, and architectural trade-offs.
  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes across cloud, hybrid, and bare-metal environments, including networking, storage, multi-tenancy, and lifecycle management.
  • Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable module development, infrastructure automation, and large-scale state management.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OCI, or equivalent environments.
  • Strong knowledge of observability ecosystems, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and telemetry solutions.
  • Experience with deployment automation, GitOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, Helm, ArgoCD, or comparable delivery technologies.
  • Solid Linux systems administration and networking knowledge, including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, routing, firewalls, and related infrastructure concepts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure security, compliance frameworks, container security, supply chain protection, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools within engineering workflows and driving adoption of automation and productivity-enhancing technologies.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills within distributed teams.
  • Professional English communication skills (minimum B2 level).
Benefits
  • Fully remote working environment.
  • Full-time contractor engagement with an indefinite-term agreement.
  • Competitive compensation package with flexible payment options.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave.

  • Mental health care and wellness initiatives.
  • Professional development budget for technical training, certifications, language learning, and career growth.
  • Equipment reimbursement program.
  • Coworking space reimbursement.
  • Opportunities to attend international conferences, industry events, and community gatherings.
  • Collaborative, ownership-driven culture focused on innovation and continuous learning.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and large-scale infrastructure challenges.
