Accountabilities:
  • Manage trade compliance requests from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of U.S. import/export regulations.
  • Provide harmonized tariff classification support, customs advisory rulings, and documentation review for international shipments.
  • Analyze and support Free Trade Agreement eligibility, country of origin determinations, and substantial transformation assessments.
  • Research and resolve complex customs issues involving valuation, marking, assists, and HTS classification.
  • Support trade remedy processes including Section 301 exclusions, antidumping/countervailing duties, Section 201, and Section 232 matters.
  • Oversee customs interactions including CBP inquiries (Forms 28 & 29), post-entry corrections, and prior disclosures.
  • Identify and implement duty mitigation opportunities such as tariff engineering, FTZ usage, and other optimization strategies.
  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance training to strengthen trade control frameworks.
  • Support duty drawback filings and contribute to Supply Chain Security programs such as C-TPAT.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on import/export operations and compliance strategies.
  • Develop and refine internal procedures and support continuous improvement of trade compliance processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in international trade and import/export compliance within a complex regulatory environment.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. customs regulations, tariff classification, and global trade compliance frameworks.
  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, importers, exporters, or global supply chain organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
Benefits:
  • Annual salary range of $100,000 to $110,000 depending on experience and location.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunity to work in a global logistics environment with complex international trade exposure.
  • Professional development in customs, compliance, and global supply chain strategy.
  • Collaborative and supportive work culture within a long-established logistics organization.
