Facilities Specialist

Pay Range $24.00 per hour + DOE
Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

About the role

Landmark Event Co. is seeking a motivated, hands-on Facilities Specialist to support the maintenance, upkeep, and operational readiness of our portfolio of premier event venues throughout the Seattle area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, staying organized, and helping create exceptional guest experiences behind the scenes. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our venues remain safe, beautiful, functional, and event-ready every day.

The Facilities Specialist works closely with the Director of Facilities and other team members to perform maintenance tasks, coordinate repairs, support preventative maintenance programs, and respond to operational needs across multiple locations.

What you'll do: Facilities Maintenance & Property Care
  • Perform routine property inspections to ensure venues remain clean, safe, and guest-ready.
  • Complete general maintenance and repair tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and facility repairs.
  • Support seasonal property maintenance including landscaping, snow and ice removal, weatherization, and preventative care.
  • Maintain high standards of curb appeal and venue presentation.
Equipment & Asset Management
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot tools and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facility assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are stored and maintained safely.
Event & Venue Support
  • Assist with facility preparation before, during, and after events.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance needs that arise during events.
  • Help ensure event spaces meet Landmark's operational and hospitality standards.
  • Participate in rotating on-call support as needed.
Work Order & Project Coordination
  • Review, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests across multiple venues.
  • Track maintenance projects, preventative maintenance tasks, and repairs using Asana and other digital tools.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed and ongoing work.
  • Assist with coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Safety & Preventative Maintenance
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and emergency repairs.
  • Identify safety concerns and take corrective action when appropriate.
  • Follow all company safety standards and PPE requirements.
  • Help maintain compliance with building, operational, and workplace safety standards.
Team Collaboration
  • Partner closely with venue leaders and operations teams to address facility needs.
  • Assist fellow Facilities Team members as needed.
  • Maintain professional, positive, and hospitality-focused interactions with guests, vendors, and coworkers.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, property maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience performing general maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repair work.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across several locations.
  • Experience coordinating daily work activities and maintenance tasks.
  • Comfortable using technology and digital task management systems (Asana experience preferred).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and additional hours as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting facilities operations across multiple properties or locations.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Hospitality, event venue, hotel, or multi-site operations experience.
  • OSHA training or other safety certifications.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and contractors.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, hourly position. The schedule may vary based on operational and event needs and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak-season support.

This role involves:

  • Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
  • Travel between multiple venue locations
  • Use of maintenance equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Dynamic event and hospitality environments
