SALARY: $36,936 - $49,579

OVERVIEW:

The MercerCounty Airport is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Account Clerk tosupport routine financial and clerical operations essential to public airportservices. Under direction, this position performs non-complex, repetitiveclerical and accounting tasks involving the computation, classification,verification, and recording of numerical data to ensure accurate and completefinancial records.

This roleplays a key behind-the-scenes function in supporting airport operations, fiscalaccountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Examine and verify financial entries, postings, totals, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness Perform routine arithmetic calculations, including extensions, percentages, and discounts Post entries in cash books, journals, ledgers, and other accounting records Prepare and maintain records of cash receipts, disbursements, deductions, refunds, and remittances Review invoices, vouchers, requisitions, payrolls, bills, and receipts for required approvals and accuracy Assist with simple reconciliation of bank accounts and financial records Maintain inventory and stock records related to materials, equipment, or supplies Prepare vouchers, invoices, and assist with periodic reports Provide routine information in person and by telephone Maintain organized files and standardized record-keeping systems Utilize electronic and/or manual accounting and information systems Identify discrepancies and refer errors or irregularities to supervisory staffREQUIREMENTS:

Experience/ Qualifications

Ability to perform routine, repetitive, and non-complex clerical and accounting tasks involving numerical data Knowledge of basic arithmetic functions Ability to accurately compute, verify, classify, and record financial information Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to maintain accuracy and close attention to detailLicense

A valid New Jersey driver's license may be required if operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential job dutiesKNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
