This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior HR Technology Advisor – Functional based in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of HR transformation, systems implementation, and strategic advisory work, supporting large-scale organizations as they modernize their HR, payroll, and workforce management ecosystems. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex HR technology initiatives from discovery to go-live. The environment is highly consultative, fast-moving, and impact-driven, where clarity, influence, and stakeholder trust matter as much as technical expertise. This is not a configuration-only role, but a position for someone who thrives on shaping decisions and driving meaningful organizational change. You will also contribute to internal capability building, sharing knowledge and helping evolve delivery approaches, including AI-enabled practices.
In this role, you will lead and support end-to-end HR transformation and system implementation initiatives, acting as a key advisor across client engagements.
- Lead full-cycle HR, payroll, time, and workforce management system implementations from discovery through to go-live, ensuring alignment with client objectives and best practices
- Facilitate workshops with diverse and sometimes resistant stakeholder groups, helping structure discussions, simplify complexity, and build consensus
- Translate business requirements into functional system design recommendations, challenging assumptions where needed to improve outcomes
- Produce clear, executive-level documentation and presentations that support decision-making and project governance
- Advise clients as a functional expert while maintaining a strategic, consultative mindset across engagements
- Contribute to internal practice development through tools, methodologies, knowledge sharing, and AI-enabled delivery improvements
The ideal candidate combines strong functional HR systems knowledge with a consultative mindset and the ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- 5–8 years of consulting experience in HR transformation, system integration, or enterprise technology delivery
- Strong experience with HCM, payroll, or workforce management systems within complex organizational environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholders, and operate confidently in transformation contexts
- Experience delivering or supporting HR/ERP system implementations in consulting or system integrator settings
- Strong advisory skills with the ability to listen actively, challenge constructively, and guide client thinking
- Ability to produce high-quality executive deliverables and communicate complex ideas clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluency in both French and English is required
- Eligibility to obtain Government of Canada security clearance is required
- Competitive compensation package
- Flexible hybrid and remote work arrangements depending on engagement requirements
- Group benefits starting from day one, with retirement plan eligibility after 3 months
- Annual wellness allowance of $1,000, including mental health support
- Support for professional certifications and continuous learning
- Employee referral bonus program ($1,000–$1,500 per referral)
- Paid holiday closure between Christmas and New Year’s
- Fast-paced, high-impact environment with low corporate overhead and strong autonomy.
