Summer Camps Lead in Fredericksburg, Virginia at Eastern Sports Management

The Fredericksburg Field House is currently accepting applications for Summer Camps Lead.

The Summer Camp Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily camp operations to ensure a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for all participants. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and a passion for working with youth in a recreational and athletic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily summer camp activities, including sports, games, and group events
• Supervise and support camp counselors and junior staff
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all campers
• Manage daily schedules, attendance, and activity rotations
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management
• Handle behavioral issues and resolve conflicts in a professional manner
• Assist in planning and implementing themed activities, special events, and field trips
• Ensure all safety protocols and policies are followed at all times
• Provide first aid and respond to emergencies as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or recreational setting preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic personality
• Ability to manage groups of children in an active environment
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass background check

Schedule:

• Seasonal position (Summer months)
• Monday–Friday, with occasional extended hours for special events

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
