Job Summary:
The Technical Sales Advisor will be responsible for the functions outlined below
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Manages the Daniel Defense fleet of demonstration and trade show firearms. Including shipping firearms to various events.
- Maintain and repair demonstration firearms, replace worn parts, clean and lubricate firearms.
- Keep records of firearm shipments and conduct routine inventory audits
- Train Daniel Defense customers, including law enforcement and military on armorer level tasks with Daniel Defense firearms.
- Plan and conduct live fire demonstration events for Daniel Defense employees and customers.
- Ensure and provide timely quality service to all customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, e-mail and web contacts to provide technical problem resolution within the timeline established by Director of Revenue Operations.
- Resolve intermediate and complex customer problems and communicate solutions or requested information to the customer.
- Analyze customer’s service needs using experience and refer to other service or technical departments as a last resort.
- Utilize a database to record activities and research product information.
- Work under limited supervision in both office and remote settings.
- Rely on experience to perform the functions of the job.
- Participates in the company’s efforts to continuously improve Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
- Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
- Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1+ years of prior Customer Service experience or equivalent combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
- Teamwork and the ability to cooperate and work proactively with others is a must.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently.
- Great attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated; willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
- Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook Word).
- Works under direct supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with our Company Values.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the normal work day – extensively at trade shows, meetings, etc.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
