Job Description

Product Manager, Platform

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Platform based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a cutting-edge robotics and intelligent systems organization, building the foundational platform capabilities that enable autonomous machines to operate at scale. You will define and own key platform services that power robotics, machine learning, and fleet operations across multiple product lines. The work spans cloud infrastructure, edge computing, and developer experience, with a strong emphasis on reliability and real-world deployment. You will translate complex, ambiguous operational challenges from field environments into scalable platform solutions. Working closely with engineering, research, and program teams, you will help shape reusable systems that accelerate innovation across the organization. This is a high-impact role where your work directly enables safer, more efficient, and more sustainable industrial operations in the real world.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of one or more platform capabilities supporting robotics, ML systems, and fleet operations at scale.
  • Translate ambiguous field and system-level problems into clear product requirements, success metrics, and prioritized development backlogs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to build APIs, tools, and workflows that are widely adopted across internal product teams.
  • Drive customer discovery with internal users to understand real-world constraints such as environmental variability, data quality, and operational risk.
  • Define and enforce platform standards for reliability, observability, scalability, and production readiness across all releases.
  • Lead onboarding, documentation, and adoption strategies to ensure successful rollout and long-term usage of platform capabilities.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders and manage dependencies across multiple teams to reduce duplication and improve platform cohesion.
  • Track product performance metrics and use insights to continuously refine priorities and improve platform outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in product management delivering complex technical or platform-based products.
  • Strong background in robotics, autonomous systems, machine learning, or related advanced technology domains.
  • Experience working with embedded systems, edge devices, or distributed software architectures.
  • Solid understanding of ML concepts such as perception, planning, environmental understanding, or actuation.
  • Proven experience building platform products used by engineering teams, including APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems, data pipelines, observability tools, and fleet or device management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex technical environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across highly cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with a base salary range of approximately $142,000 to $250,000 depending on experience and location.
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonus programs.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Opportunity to work on advanced robotics and autonomous systems with real-world impact.
  • Remote work flexibility within the United States.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in AI, machine learning, and intelligent machinery platforms.
  • Strong focus on innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning in a mission-driven environment.
