About This Position

Job Summary

The Audio Technician supports the audiology and ENT team by assisting with hearing evaluations, maintaining audiology equipment, preparing patients for testing, and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. This role is essential to delivering high-quality hearing care and patient service in a fast-paced ENT clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist audiologists and ENT providers during hearing evaluations and diagnostic testing

  • Prepare patients for audiologic procedures, explaining tests and addressing basic questions

  • Perform preliminary hearing screenings and non-diagnostic audiologic tests as directed

  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain audiology equipment and testing rooms

  • Manage hearing aid inventory, supplies, and accessories

  • Assist with hearing aid fittings, repairs, troubleshooting, and patient education (as permitted by state regulations)

  • Document test results and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Schedule audiology appointments and coordinate follow-up visits when needed

  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards

  • Provide excellent customer service and support a positive patient experience

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Associate degree or coursework in audiology, health sciences, or related field (preferred)

  • Previous experience in an ENT, audiology, or healthcare setting (preferred)

  • Knowledge of hearing tests, audiology equipment, and hearing aid technology is a plus

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a clinical environment

  • Basic computer skills and experience with EMR systems
