Description
The Engineering Documentation Specialist will provide technical engineering and administrative support for engineering management and the engineering department. Responsibilities include preparing documents and reports, raw data collection and preparation, and may require some internet research.
Responsibilities
- Prepares technical data for characterization and statistical analysis and general support for engineering management
- Inputs information/data from a variety of sources into computer databases, spreadsheets, and word processing documents
- Prepares documents and reports, raw data collection and preparation, and may require some internet research.
- Organizes material, summarize technical data and maintain records and files of work and revisions.
- Gathers data from online and internal MES & ERP systems to produce technical documentation and drawings for review by engineering team.
- Develops a working knowledge of Qualified Material requirements and resources, specific to detailed QML job test flows.
- Prepares Test Drawings by translating specific customer test requirements based on multiple sources including Quotes & SOW (Statement of Work).
- Communicates directly with engineering, manufacturing, planning and management to ensure job and systems technical accuracy.
- Details test job project work utilizing the Work Breakdown Structure(WBS).
- Technical documentation, controlled release for documents and test programs (DCN process), and peer review of test programs prior to release
- Responsible for engineering lot traveler and tracking, and technical data management & filing (physical and electronics copies)
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Some manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office products (Excel, Word, Access) and ability to learn custom software
- Must be flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
